The Rose Foundation for Children, Inc.,is a non-profit corporation organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes, to provide relief to poor, distressed, underprivileged and sick children in the USA and abroad. It is named for St. Therese of Lisieux, whose legacy is to send “showers of roses” to those who pray to her. Because the spirituality of St. Therese is rooted in her “Little Way,” which involves doing small things with love, and being childlike before God, the foundation’s purpose is to help suffering children by providing for their needs in little ways that will make big differences in their lives. Although St. Therese lived an obscure life in the cloister of Carmel, she desired to do many wonderful things and to be a missionary. The Rose Foundation for Children will fulfill that missionary desire by bringing manifestations of God’s love through the generosity of donors who wish to help needy children.
Begun in 2007, The Rose Foundation for Children was founded to carry out the promise of St. Therese to “do good upon the earth,” and to send “showers of roses” to those who requested her help. The foundation works to promote the legacy of St. Therese by providing for the many needs of afflicted and destitute children.
Partnerships with churches, schools, organizations and individuals who are aligned with the mission and spirituality of St. Therese are sought to join with The Rose Foundation for Children to provide relief for needy children, by creating and supporting programs that will enhance their health, education and welfare.
